I only just realised that I hadn't put my secret santa post up yet D:. LOSE, FAIL, ETC. I am sorry, Santa D:.

Which reminds me, because I'm stupid and frequently miss things in my inbox, I didn't notice it until now, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for the paid time and icons and everything w-wahhh ;~; ♥ ♥ ♥.

And. Ahh, ahh... was there enough information in the email? Really, I'm fine with anything, even though I know that's not helpful D:. I know there aren't a lot of people who are really into Eyeshield 21, so if you're not, don't sweat it! If you are, then that's cool too :D. Shipping-wise... Taki doesn't go there. But I'm pretty much a fan of most all of the mainstream pairings, both het and not, so whatever floats your boat, I guess?

Icons-wise... well, I've pretty much iconed almost everything I can find of Taki up to the end of volume 19, and a few touched-up things from youtube |D;;. If you like iconing and already have access to resources other than that, feel free to do that, I guess xD? I emphasise "already have" 'cause it can sometimes be such a hassle to download anime/manga, so I don't want anyone to go to too much trouble for me DX.

Also, if you have any particular Camp pairing or even any particular pairing in general that involves characters in or out of Camp from almost any anime or manga that you like to write or draw, then go wild :o! Sorry for being a bit AWOL recently. I was really looking foward to getting to stupid-it-up at the wedding today DX. I don't even have a fever today but for some reason I've been really exhausted. This is just a little thing I was thinking about just now in regards to Taki since it comes up in his threads a lot (and he hasn't even been out that much), so I thought I'd just. Y'know. Ramble about it. Since I'm feeling kind of icky and am being generally slow at replying to people. WARNING this may not make any sense at all and may just be fever-induced ramblings in which case feel free to dismiss it.

So. You're talking to Taki! And... he says something that sounds like an insult? Well.

As a general rule, unless Taki sees you as a genuine enemy (and sometimes not even then), he won't purposefully insult you. He's actually a fair sport-- if he says "good for you", he actually means it. He's a nice guy at heart and always has good intentions, they just... usually come out a little skewed because of his ego. Sometimes even when he's saying "thank you" it can sound like he's being condescending, but it's not on purpose XD. He really does wish the best for others too, it's just that his world revolves around him, and in his eyes almost nobody else can possibly be as awesome as he is.

And as a side note, I don't really think he even has the brains to compute sarcasm, either, so lets not even go there |D;;.

As for the "mademoiselle" business, this is not him hitting on you XD. He says "monsieur" to the guys, too. He just does it because he thinks it makes him look cool, not because he wants to pick up girls (or guys).

And uh. Yeah. I don't really know what I'm typing anymore so if anyone wants to tell me that this is rubbish then me go ahead because ahaha I'm not even making sense to myself at the moment so it's likely I have this all wrong 8D;.

It hurts my brain to even so much as think of him in any other way. I mean, he shows off to and sparkles at pretty girls once or twice but that's as far as it goes.

Maim/murder/death: Hahahaha, Taki's a complete idiot so he's likely to piss off his fair share of people in camp, so I fully expect him to be maimed on a regular basis (hell, his own sister abuses him all the time 8Db). As for murder/death, I'd probably be okay with it (emo isn't really something he does much of), but yeah uhhh I'd prefer if you could ask me about it first XD.

What's okay to mention around him: Pretty much anything, I think? He doesn't really like being called an idiot but everyone does anyway, so ... |D;;;. He'll just learn to deal. OH which reminds me, other Eyeshield muns, I was told by Mamori that most've you are from just after the Death March D:? And I was originally planning pulling Taki out from just before the Spiders match, but I figure that could cause some problems with people now that I know where you're all from, so please please please tell me if that's not going to go down well and I'll yank him from another point in time instead.

Physical traits: he's almost always winking, he's almost always got one leg in the air, and he's... well, I'd say tall, but in comparison to other people in his canon (LOL HI KAKEI, MIZUMACHI), he's not as much?

Abilities: EXTREME FLEXIBILITY for serious, like, can do the splits and bend in all sorts of amazing ways that shouldn't even be possible except to people made of RUBBER (he should have been a ballerina). He probably has really good balance because there's almost no scene in the entirety of his manga appearance where he doesn't have one foot in the air. He's a good all-rounder when it comes to sports, but other than that he doesn't really... have much else xD? Unless you count the ability to rip his own shirt off in record time ;Db.

Secrets: Uhhh none here really.

Canon: Eyeshield 21 is, in a sentence, a manga about American football. Where does Taki fit into it? He's the Tight End of the Deimon Devil Bats team. More importantly, he is an idiot. No, really. It has been noted that he does not know what "temperature" is, thinks that he invented the light bulb, and does not know his 9 times table-- all the while being completely unaware of his stupidity. However, if he can relate the question to football, he can get it right. Taki is also seen to be rather egotistical, always expecting people to come up and ask him for autographs, and ripping his shirt open at random moments to expose his chest for the benefit of his "fans".

However, although Taki can be described as an absolute fool, he's not all bad. He is dedicated to American football, and is extremely athletic and hyper-flexible. Taki also has a very optimistic, happy-go-lucky outlook on life, and although his actions/words may not show it, he always has good intentions. Despite his egocentricity and often random antics, it is difficult not to warm to his excitable and friendly nature, even if he does come across at first as a massive tool.
